HeritageQuest Online is an excellent resource for genealogists and historians. It includes the ability to search complete U.S. census records. The subscription to this service has been provided by the Friends of the Halifax County South Boston Public Library System. You will need your library card number to access HeritageQuest.

NoveList K-8 Plus is an excellent resource for read-alike recommendations for younger readers.  It helps kids to connect with books that are just right for their reading levels and interests.

NoveList Plus is an online database for reading recomendations, helping readers of all ages to find the right books to read.

Read It! is designed for middle and high school students and adults who have a basic foundation in English grammar and reading but need adapted reading material for a variety of subjects.

Rocket Languages offers extensive range of products allows you to learn a language on your own terms and in your own time.  You will need your library card number when registering to use this resource.



Overdrive Digital Media - Download and listen or read on your PC, Mac®, Kindle or Smartphone today. Follow the “Help” link for information about how to use the service with your device. SOVALUe is the name of the consortium of libraries that are working cooperativley to make this service possible.
