Rock 'n Read, the library's fundraiser for early literacy programs, will be held on December 6 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at the South Boston Public Library.  Tickets are $10.00 each and may be purchased at either of the library's branches or at the door the evening of the event.  Wine will be provided by Hunting Creek Vineyards and food will be provided by Southern Plenty.  There will be an auction of custom painted guitars, with the proceeds going to benefit the library's early literacy program.
 

The 2019 Library Fund Drive is underway!  Click on the link below to go to an online donation form.  If you use this form you may either mail in your donation or drop it off at one of the libraries.

The library will hold Food for Fines from December 9-December 23.  During this time patrons may pay overdue fines by donating new and unopened nonperishable food items.  Each item donated will result in $3.00 in overdue fines being forgiven.

 

Come and hear Halifax County native and author Crystal Day read from her new book Mason the Bull and the Magical Christmas Tree, December 23 at 12:30 pm at the South Boston Public Library.

 

The library will be closed December 24-26 for the Christmas holiday.  The library will close at 5:00 pm on December 31 and be closed on January 1 for the New Year's holiday.
